This Privacy Policy describes how PES MED Società Consortile a Responsabilità Limitata (Pesmed S.c.a.r.l.), which operates the website WWW.PESMED.IT (“we”, “us”, or “our”), collects, uses, and protects personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

a) Data provided voluntarily

Email address, only when you contact us by email (mailto link).

b) Data collected automatically

Through Cloudflare Analytics, we may collect:

  • Aggregated and anonymized usage data
  • Device and browser information (non-identifying)
  • Approximate and anonymized location data

We do not collect:

  • Names
  • Phone numbers
  • Addresses
  • Payment data
  • Account data
  • User-generated content

3. How data is collected

Data is collected exclusively through:

  • Direct communication: when you send us an email
  • Automatic collection: via Cloudflare Analytics
  • Third-party resources: only YouTube video players, loaded exclusively when you click on a video (fonts and all other scripts are served locally)

We do not use:

  • Forms
  • User accounts
  • Our own profiling, advertising or analytics cookies

4. Purposes of processing

We process data exclusively for the following purposes:

  • Responding to user inquiries (support)
  • Providing and maintaining the website
  • Analyzing website performance and improving services (via Cloudflare Analytics)

We do not use data for:

  • Marketing
  • Profiling
  • Automated decision-making

5. Legal basis for processing (GDPR)

We process personal data on the basis of:

  • Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): to ensure proper functioning, security, and improvement of the website.
  • Pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): when responding to inquiries sent by users via email.

Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): YouTube videos are loaded only when you click on them. By starting a video you choose to connect to YouTube; if you do not click, no data is sent to YouTube.

We do not use our own tracking or profiling technologies.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell or disclose personal data.

However, limited data may be processed by trusted service providers:

Cloudflare Pages

Hosting (Cloudflare Pages)

Analytics (privacy-focused, no cookies)

Google Ireland Ltd (YouTube)

Embedded video player, loaded only when you click on a video

On the Compass One page in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com)

These providers process data in accordance with their respective privacy policies.

7. International data transfers

Some services we use (e.g., Cloudflare and, if you start a video, Google/YouTube) may transfer data outside of the European Economic Area (EEA).

In such cases, transfers are safeguarded through:

  • Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission
  • Or other lawful transfer mechanisms under the GDPR

8. Data retention

We retain data only for as long as necessary:

  • Emails: kept for the time necessary to respond and manage communications
  • Analytics data: managed by Cloudflare according to its retention policies
  • Data processed by YouTube after you start a video: managed by Google according to its retention policies

We do not store users’ identifying data on our systems.

9. User rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your data
  • Rectify inaccurate data
  • Request deletion (right to be forgotten)
  • Restrict processing
  • Data portability
  • Object to processing
  • Withdraw consent (if applicable)

Since we collect minimal or no personal data, the exercise of these rights may be limited in practice.

10. Cookies

We do not use our own profiling, advertising or analytics cookies. The website uses only the technologies described below.

a) Technical storage (Compass One)

When you reach the website from the Compass One interactive page (www.pesmed.it/compass-one/), the browser’s session storage (sessionStorage) keeps the name of the Compass and of the section you came from, so that a “Back to Compass” button can be shown while you browse.

  • It contains no personal data
  • It is never sent to us or to third parties
  • It is deleted automatically when you close the browser tab

Being strictly necessary for a feature you requested, it does not require consent.

b) Device orientation sensor (Compass One)

On smartphones and tablets the Compass One page uses the device’s orientation sensor to rotate the compass. Access is requested by the browser and you can refuse it. Orientation data is processed only on your device and is never transmitted or stored.

c) Third-party content: YouTube

Some product pages and the Compass One page contain YouTube videos. Before you click, only a placeholder served by our website is shown (a play button or a preview image) and no connection to YouTube is made.

When you click to start a video, the player is loaded from YouTube (Google Ireland Ltd), which may receive your IP address and browser data and may set cookies or similar technologies on your device. On the Compass One page the player is loaded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).

You can delete or block these cookies at any time through your browser settings.

11. Security measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures, including:

  • Data encryption
  • Access control systems
  • Secure hosting infrastructure (Cloudflare)

12. Children’s data

Our website is not intended for minors and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
